The realization of On Bin involved a combination of CNC and manual woodworking techniques. The prototype was meticulously crafted to ensure the perfect fit of its joints, requiring additional hand-finishing to achieve the desired level of precision. For large-scale production, steam-bending will be employed, ensuring consistent quality and durability.

With dimensions of 43cm in length, 55cm in width, and 66cm in height, On Bin offers a comfortable and ergonomic seating experience. Its compact size makes it suitable for various dining spaces, while its elegant design adds a touch of sophistication.

The creation of On Bin was not without its challenges. The joinery proved to be the most demanding aspect of the project, with the parts requiring meticulous fitting and hand-finishing. The use of CNC milling initially presented rough edges, necessitating the use of a Dremel and hand-sanding to achieve the desired level of precision.

On Bin was developed between September and December 2021, with the aim of redefining the dining experience through design. Its serene presence and attention to detail have garnered recognition, earning the design the Iron A' Furniture Design Award in 2022. This prestigious accolade is awarded to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements, contributing to a better world.
